A Country Sabbath

The Vero Beach Church enjoyed an enjoyable and unique Sabbath on the 26th of December.  The congregation was invited to spend a Sabbath day in the rural wilderness of Okeechobee County. It was different and refreshing to have a Sabbath apart from the norm of a fellowship hall and the wearing of suits and dresses for service. The attire for this day was casual and fitting for an outdoor service amongst the yard birds (chickens), dogs, horses, a for-real jackass that withheld her braying until after the service. Also there was a snake that attempted to cut through the middle of where we were seated but Dave came to the rescue and guided the serpent away from the group. Welcome to country life where this is the norm.
